Help with CalorieBank.

Common questions about accounts, food, Apple Health, nutrition, activity and body measurements.

How does CalorieBank work?

Burned calories become deposits. Food entries become withdrawals. Checking is available now, Savings protects part of today's burn, and Investment holds longer-term calorie progress.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. CalorieBank can use compatible Apple Health information from Apple Watch, iPhone motion, other wearables and workout apps. When burn data is unavailable, the app can use a profile-based resting estimate.

Why is a Health or Lifestyle metric missing?

The device or source may not have recorded that category, or permission may not have been granted. CalorieBank shows unavailable data rather than inventing a value.

Why is my workout route not visible?

A route appears only when a compatible outdoor workout already contains route data in Apple Health and CalorieBank has permission to read it. CalorieBank does not create a new live GPS recording.

Should I manually add a workout recorded by Apple Health?

No. Add a workout manually only when the activity is missing. Recording the same workout twice may duplicate active calories.

Is Nutrition Score a medical test?

No. It estimates nutrient coverage from recorded food and supplement information. A low estimate is not a diagnosed deficiency.

Can I connect a smart scale?

A compatible smart scale can contribute measurements when its app writes them to Apple Health and permission is granted.

How do I correct an incorrect food entry?

Use Edit Last Transaction to adjust the most recent food items, quantities, calories or hydration, or to refund the most recent withdrawal when appropriate.

How do I change Health permissions?

Review CalorieBank access in the iPhone Health app or iPhone Settings. Available controls may vary by iOS version and data type.
